Lately I have been listening to a lot of Star Slinger. I’ve been listening to a lot of stuff, honestly, but if I find myself repeatedly going back to a particular band or artist then I post it here.
Thus these last few weeks, it has been Star Slinger. I initially found out about this artist through the All Everyone United blog which is a great resource for Witch House, slow music, mysterious electronic music, or other forms of music that I just equate with salvia. This site was also where I found more stuff related to Games which I mentioned in an earlier post.
Star Slinger has remixed a number of soul hits and tends to put this fading effect on his work so the presence of the music is very pulsating. If the scene were different and if I had a different personality I would be the type to go to clubs that would play music like this. I would be a sleazy lounge lizard, wear huge shades, and convince girls wearing tiny tennis shorts to come back to my bachelor pad which would have some sort of animal fur on the walls. We would make stinky sex.
But the scene isn’t that way and that’s not my usual game. One can fantasize however.
