A while back Ve mentioned a radstyle band called Dead Moon. They’re really good, and so is another band called Pierced Arrows that shares two members with Dead Moon. Apparently the Pierced Arrows/Dead Moon duo are also romantically involved, grandparents, and live out in the woods where they press their own vinyl and record on mono. They sound like the sort of people who are either really awesome, down to earth folks, or really awesome, weirder than shit folks. Here’s a website that offers a free MP3 of their song.
Also check out Fred and Toodie’s pre-Dead Moon band The Rats and Fred’s band from waaayyy back in the 60s, The Lollipop Shoppe. Fred and Toodie are so dedicated to rock and roll that they make pretty much every other musician on earth look like a total lightweight.
