I don’t want to try and think of a band that sounds like The Barbaric Thugs. They’re doing their thing, and comparisons get stale so quickly. So I’m going to try to avoid that.
This album is straight up badass. It’s the sort of music that I couldn’t listen to exclusively, but it’s so refreshing, because the lyrical theme of ‘I’m tired of all your bullshit’ is something that’s severely lacking in music today. This album is fed up with the excess of superficial droning and abiding that permeates our world. It’s not political music, nor is it overcompensating for the sake of a tough guy image, it just says, ‘Hey, I’m sincerely tired of all this.’ I can certainly relate.
