There might be some people out there who are unfamiliar with the life and career of Warren Zevon. This post is for you. See, I want to do an experiment. Warren Zevon, in 2000 penned a really great song called My Shit’s Fucked Up. So here’s what I want to do: I’m not the world’s biggest Warren Zevon fan, but do think he’s pretty rad, and I know the bigger details of his life. I want someone who’s preferably never heard of him before to listen to this song, and tell me what they think.
To me, the song seems like it must reflect strongly on instances on his personal life, but I want to see if those unfamiliar with his personal life get the same message. Also, it’s worth a listen just because it’s such a great song. I’ve been listening to it constantly lately.
