I just read the most wonderful little article over at www.cracked.com It’s about how Lady Gaga isn’t worth all the media attention. Here it is if you want to read it. The best line in the article is ‘If Stefani had continued performing as a person and not a spiky, pale freakstronaut, in an alternate universe, I could really see myself passively tolerating her music for the sake of appeasing a girlfriend.’
Did you know her real first name is Stefani? She should combine powers with Gwen Stefani and become the ultimate female pop star that’s all bark and no bite. Gwen Stefani Germanotta. Scary.
I don’t really mind Lady Gaga that much, but her hits have definitely gotten exponentially worse. Poker Face was really not that bad of a tune in my estimation. Alejandro was a dog shit taco. I certainly think she’s overrated and that her iconoclasm and artistic genius are overestimated. I feel like the Cracked article was perhaps a little harsh, but thank goodness I’m not the only one who tired of her shtick.
Also, a while back, drag queen Jackie Beat did a cover of Alejandro with lyrics changed to be about how the gay community needs to get over Lady Gaga coz she ain’t all that.
