The Del-Vetts are a largely forgotten garage rock act from Chicago, IL that had one hit back in 1966. That song, called Last Time Around, is good.
After Last Time Around, the band put out a single called I Call My Baby STP which was neither as cool as their original hit, nor was it as popular.
The band briefly tried to get another hit after changing their name to The Pride And Joy, and they had a minor hit called Girl, but were unable to attain the success that Last Time Around did. The band split up in 1968. They’ve sort of found a following after being on a number of those compilations of one-hit-wonders called ‘Best of The 60′s’ or whatever. I can’t find the song Girl anywhere. If you have a copy I’d like to hear it.
