It takes a very specific sense of humor to appreciate Botox. The band started out after Gruk bassist Dirty Uncle Brad felt his suggestions for the band were being ignored by other members. Botox was his band that lived under the one rule- Brad makes the rules. The Botox lineup often changes, with Brad being the only constant, typically firing other members for silly reasons, as a joke.
Musically, Botox was more an afterthought to Brad’s big personality and atypical thoughts on life. All Botox songs are improvisational, and written about subject matter decided on the spot. A typical Botox show will start with Brad providing humorous commentary about something or someone in the venue, rife with trash talking, and will be followed by a volley of intense screaming and random distorted bass strumming.
