I recently found a wicked awesome YouTube vid of The Zeros doing a TV performance sometime in the 1970′s. As one poster ‘potaluca’ said ‘posting a videotape copied a million times with the glitches left in…now that’s PUNK!’ It’s totally wicked awesome.
For those of you unfamiliar, The Zeros were a San Diego, CA band that, while well connected within the Southern California music scene, and respected and admired among die-hard punk fans, never made it very big. According to NME, The Zeros hold the distinction of being the first American punk band to have a show broken up by riot cops. I like them a lot.
