Whenever I hear a Astrud Gilberto song, I feel like I’ve stepped into the movie L’Avventura, and everything’s relaxed and romantic and boring and depressing and beautiful. Bossa nova is great like that. Also, she’s recorded music in seven different languages, which is neat.
